Volunteers will walk the course of the Austin Marathon that passes through Allandale, picking up trash and tidying up areas in preparation for the marathon. Depending on how creative we get, we might set up some decorations too...

In 2008 there are three (3) different locations to choose from. Check out the list, there is something for everyone.

Austin Memorial Cemetary

Volunteers will rake leaves, clear overgrown grave markers, and place flags on the graves of veterans. Meet at the cemetary at Hancock and MoPac.

Great Northern

Volunteers will clear low hanging branches, pick up trash, and move debris covering crepe myrtles at the intersection of Great Northern and White Rock.

Volunteers will clear the creek bank of debris left by heavy rains, remove invasive species, and remove trash. (Wear close toe shoes. Due to the emerging population of Coyotes along Shoal Creek, please leave dogs at home.)

Join your neighbors to clean-up the North Shoal Creek Greenbelt, and Great Northern Hike n’Bike Trail. Volunteers will remove trash and debris, trim branches, and help to fix damage from heavy rains. Everyone is welcome. Great for Groups!

All ages welcome. Wear Sturdy shoes and remember the terrain is uneven. Difficulty: Easy. Please contact organizer if you can help with trimming branches and debris.
